Apparition Booklet This pamphlet was designed for my 2D Design class taught by Leslie Hirst in the spring of 2008. The first assignment was to design instructional pictograms. I decided to make mine "How to Apparate" using information from the Harry Potter books where apparating is basically teleporting for wizards. I then expanded the pictogram into a full pamplet about how to apparate. I was very inspired by the newspaper designs featured in the fifth Harry Potter movie and enjoyed experimenting with typography even though at that point I had not yet had a typography class. I printed it on a watercolor wash I made and bound it with white thread.
